In October, we held our lunchtime sew-cial at the Hounslow Civic centre and helped a few people add those little touches to their textiles. We provided sewing machines and basic textile repair kit equipment had a few people turn up on their lunch breaks with their beautiful textiles.
Our sewing sew-cials are a great way of meeting new people and picking up some every day sewing tips & tricks on the way. Emma, who works with us at West London Waste, was able to learn how to use the sewing machines for different stitching patterns during the event. All the attendees were able to share tips & advice with each other, making the event even more worthwhile.
Love Your Clothes Festive Workshops

Working with the Love Your Clothes national campaign, we’ll be running festive rep
air workshops throughout West London. Providing expert tuition will be the Sew Fabulous crew from Brighton, who can give you some advice to help turn your old clothes into special festive outfits. Need a Christmas jumper for the office party? Just bring along an old jumper add a pinch of festive spirit, and you could have a special-to-you new Xmas jumper, with or without the cheesy design! The choice (and cheese is up to you)!

For our textiles lovers, we held a lunchtime Swish event at Hounslow library last week. We had a good turnout, especially with the Diwali festivities on the day & our swishers didn’t disappoint. We were given bags filled with beautiful items which we cant wait to share with you all at our West Ealing Swish next month.
Our next Swish is going to be a special one, as fashion blogger and presenter, Gema Enseñat, will be showcasing some of her impressive refashioning ideas and tips with a festive refashioning talk. This is definitely a swish you wouldn’t want to miss!
Winter is coming and with sew much textiles, you can have sew little time! We can’t wait until our next event!
