If you’re wondering how you’ll be able to pull everything together before the 25th or even if you’ve done your preparations months ago, it’s always a good idea to take some time a make a list this week, before Santa comes to town!

If Santa can keep track of his naughty and nice list, what’s stopping us from keeping track of our Christmas list? It’s a great way for to organise everything and have everything you need to do in one place. Your list doesn’t need to be detailed, but adding your to-do’s in one place will ensure you don’t forget anything and leave things to the last minute (we’ve all been there, running down oxford street grabbing anything for a present, someone probably used that lynx shower set I bought last year).

Tip 1) Write down all the thoughts you have running around your head about Christmas

Is it presents for certain family members, food you need to buy? Or even clothes you need to buy for New Year’s? Write it all down so you don’t forget.

Tip 2) Ask your family at home if they can think of things that need to be done before the 25th and add them to your list

Do you have a big family coming over? It’s best to get the guest list sorted now so you know how much food you need to buy. Plan your Christmas menu in advance so you can meet all the dietary requirements of your special guests. It’s always a good idea to have a little peek at everyone’s Santa wish list so you have some sort of idea on what gifts to buy. Remember, some gifts may be in demand so it’s best to start your gift shopping as soon as possible.

Tip 3) Place your list where it will be visible to you everyday

Taking time to create a list and losing it, is not a good way to start the Christmas period. Whether you keep your list stuck to your bedroom mirror or even the fridge in the kitchen, keeping your list somewhere you’ll see everyday will make sure that you stay on track.

Tip 4) Stick to the list!

We are all prone to some impulse buying, especially with all the enticing Christmas windows and special offers so STICK TO YOUR LIST! If it’s not on the list, there’s no need to pull out your wallet/purse for any extra items.
